I'm not slating the 360 compared to the PS3 (it has more games for sure), but compared to PC its crap. end off as far as i'm concerned.

How is it crap compared to PC gaming, its a simple piece of hardware that you plug in a play, PC gaming is a whole different ball game, settings/bugs/patches etc.

Btw how much did your PC cost that Bioshock PC > XBox 360

You still get bugs in xbox games - the difference is, you can't patch them and have to put up with them.

same as a 360 would, it was my brothers pc with a x1950pro

I'm not even going to start a controller argument in the console section, its not my turf tbh.

I am mate,

Its still power a quad core 4gb pc, very impressive piece of kit, no problems at all.
I always said it was the best PSU I've ever used, bar the heat output which was a little too high for my likings it was perfect, it never moved on any voltages which was impressive. Glad it's still going strong! If I never needed the money I'd still be using it myself.

Yeah i'm not sayin for a minute that Ps3 has more games, it doesn't (unless you count PS2/PS1 ones as well)
£400 for 2 games isn't too bad.
I hated Resistance in SP, however in MP it's a riot, so I'd always recommend that. Motorstorm is fun for a bit, but I've always said it feels like a tech demo with minimal gameplay. It becomes repetative. The best game on PS3 is definitely Oblivion, but I know you'll have played that on PC.

360 would be the same because as far as I'm concerned thers only 2-3 games worth playing on either platform. You may think otherwise but i don't really care.
I know many people who *had* the same impression, til the bought one and played some of the games they never fancied. I'd say the Xbox360 probably has the strongest 18 month catalogue of any console ever. TDU, Dead Rising, Gears of War, Burnout Revenge, Forza 2, BioShock, The Darkness, Project Gotham Racing 3, Call of Duty 2, Smackdown vs Raw 2007, Hitman: Blood Money, Crackdown, Saints Row, Guitar Hero 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 6, Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW, GRAW2, Tomb Raider Legend, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Kameo, Viva Pinata.

Those are just some of the games I've played and loved on the Xbox360. The best thing about those over PC versions is that they all work straight from the box. Everytime I look in the PC section there are always around 5 posts on page 1 about a game not working properly.

Ps3 still seems like a lot of bang for the buck when you consider the extras.
The Card readers are an excellent addition, as is Blu-Ray and wireless. I'd agree that compared to an Elite it's a lot of bang for buck, but compared to a £150 Xbox360 Core it's not. It depends how you look at things.

oh for the record bioshock on PC > 360 . period.
I'd disagree there, there have been SO many problems with the PC version, from it not installing to errors on graphics card or slow down, where as mine worked straight out the box on a 32" HDTV with 5.1 audio and not one single bit of slowdown. Sure, the PC version looks a little better on a ridiculously spec'd PC, but you pay a premium. In regards to control method, the PC and Xbox360 had theirs built from the ground-up, so playing the Xbox360 version isn't like playing a gimped PC version, or playing a PC version with a control pad. Both are different and as a result it works brilliant.

No offence, but a lot of PC gamers such as yourself need to lose the elitist PC attitude, it's no longer streets ahead, console gaming no longer comes second (consoles are better money makers than PC's for games developers). Short of MMO and RTS I would go for a console every time as I prefer not to hunch over a desk.

stranglehold demo is actually quite good. max payne rip off though lol
Definitely a fun game and whilst you could say the game dynamics are a Max Payne rip off, Max Payne is heavily based on a film called 'Hard Boiled' which is the prequel to Stranglehold. :).

That's wrong. Games do get patched, but it informs you automatically.
I can't think of any major bugs that affect gameplay on any of the games on Xbox360 so far though.

i dont know why, ive tried to explain this to people before. it isnt a games machine first and foremost.

ps3_on_box.jpg

you did ask. it doesnt boast about revolutionary gaming or graphics in gaming or anythign liek that. this is an entertainment device that is marketed as truely multi capable machine, not a games console that plays movies.
It should be called MEDIAstation, not PLAYstation!

so what did you actually buy it for if not as a gaming device and not as a media centre? not questioning you its just most people that dont buy it for gaming have bought it as a media device.

Warhawk = best online game on a console. :D

RFOM, GOW, GR and Motorstorm are good but have nothing on Warhawk. Besides the game complaint wont hold once loads of game are out this christmas. Ignorie the staple playstation franchises such as MGS, FF, RE, GT etc. at your own peril. Most of the 360 stuff is on other systems unlike Wii or PS3.

Warhawk is okay, I can't help but feel it's being overhyped.

GRAW2, Gears of War and Resistance have all had me enjoying multiplayer more for a shooter, in terms of any console game being better then I'd say both PGR3 and Burnout are streets ahead for enjoyment.

Don't think any of you have said this but Gears of War is coming to PC in Nov-2007. So there is no point to get a 360 or a PS3.

I just have a High end PC and a Wii because the way i view it is that the is nothing a 360 or a PS3 can do that a PC can't do better:D

What O/S are you running on your gaming PC?
only 64 bit O/Ses address 4gb ram correctly and everyone knows how crap support is for XP 64bit.
Currently I wouldn't even consider 32bit Vista as a serious O/S for gaming and quite frankly, Vista 64bit support is crap.
Oh, and not wishing to be pendatic, if you are using an Intel Core 2 quad cpu, technically it's not true quad core architecture, it's 2 dual cores piggybacked together (like Intel did with the dual core P4's).

The PC is hardly the mutts nuts for gaming, just look at Stalker and how many patches that's required.
When it comes to RTS games the PC is far superior but that's about it.
Personally I have past the point of throwing serious money on a yearly basis when it comes to high end graphics cards etc.
For multimedia I agree with those who say the PC is far better for this and I wish to god the console companies would drop the multimedia idea and concentrate on their consoles being used for what they should be, games.

I've never owned any other consoles apart from a Sega Megadrive many years ago.
Infact, for a long time I was against the idea of a console but my need for some quality game fun left me no choice but to buy an Xbox 360.
If I had stuck with the PC alone, I wouldn't had half as much fun that I have had in the last year.

Warhawk's pretty average online if I'm honest.

What's RE? I know it's not resident evil as that's not a staple franchise but I can't guess what it is.

Social gaming. A PC is a very solitary affair.

Ah right - well either way, "bugs/patches" isn't much of an argument against PC is it ;) And neither are Settings tbh... they could get rid of the settings on PC games and require you to have a top-end PC. All settings do is allow worse PC's to play the game and better PC's to have better graphics going on.

I don't understand your point?

Just going to show this in a easy to understand way for all those 360 and PS3fan boys

We are just talking games here

Wii - Is a FUN box

360 is a graphics box

PS3 is a graphics box

PC is the most powerful graphics box ever

So the best 2 to get from above money no object is the PC and the Wii

The only real reason people buy a 360 or a PS3 is because they can't afford a High end PC (which I understand)

And as I said above post there is nothing a 360 or a PS3 can do that a PC can't do better but a Wii can do something the a PC can't do.

If someone can Name just one thing a PS3 or a 360 can do that a PC can't then I take back all I just said.

I have a High(ish) end PC and a PS3 and soon a Wii (And did have a 360)

I have all of these because I love games, and you can't play EVERY game on a single format.

Thats it :)
