I am mate,
Its still power a quad core 4gb pc, very impressive piece of kit, no problems at all.
I always said it was the best PSU I've ever used, bar the heat output which was a little too high for my likings it was perfect, it never moved on any voltages which was impressive. Glad it's still going strong! If I never needed the money I'd still be using it myself.
Yeah i'm not sayin for a minute that Ps3 has more games, it doesn't (unless you count PS2/PS1 ones as well)
£400 for 2 games isn't too bad.
I hated Resistance in SP, however in MP it's a riot, so I'd always recommend that. Motorstorm is fun for a bit, but I've always said it feels like a tech demo with minimal gameplay. It becomes repetative. The best game on PS3 is definitely Oblivion, but I know you'll have played that on PC.
360 would be the same because as far as I'm concerned thers only 2-3 games worth playing on either platform. You may think otherwise but i don't really care.
I know many people who *had* the same impression, til the bought one and played some of the games they never fancied. I'd say the Xbox360 probably has the strongest 18 month catalogue of any console ever. TDU, Dead Rising, Gears of War, Burnout Revenge, Forza 2, BioShock, The Darkness, Project Gotham Racing 3, Call of Duty 2, Smackdown vs Raw 2007, Hitman: Blood Money, Crackdown, Saints Row, Guitar Hero 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 6, Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW, GRAW2, Tomb Raider Legend, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Kameo, Viva Pinata.
Those are just some of the games I've played and loved on the Xbox360. The best thing about those over PC versions is that they all work straight from the box. Everytime I look in the PC section there are always around 5 posts on page 1 about a game not working properly.
Ps3 still seems like a lot of bang for the buck when you consider the extras.
The Card readers are an excellent addition, as is Blu-Ray and wireless. I'd agree that compared to an Elite it's a lot of bang for buck, but compared to a £150 Xbox360 Core it's not. It depends how you look at things.
oh for the record bioshock on PC > 360 . period.
I'd disagree there, there have been SO many problems with the PC version, from it not installing to errors on graphics card or slow down, where as mine worked straight out the box on a 32" HDTV with 5.1 audio and not one single bit of slowdown. Sure, the PC version looks a little better on a ridiculously spec'd PC, but you pay a premium. In regards to control method, the PC and Xbox360 had theirs built from the ground-up, so playing the Xbox360 version isn't like playing a gimped PC version, or playing a PC version with a control pad. Both are different and as a result it works brilliant.
No offence, but a lot of PC gamers such as yourself need to lose the elitist PC attitude, it's no longer streets ahead, console gaming no longer comes second (consoles are better money makers than PC's for games developers). Short of MMO and RTS I would go for a console every time as I prefer not to hunch over a desk.
stranglehold demo is actually quite good. max payne rip off though lol
Definitely a fun game and whilst you could say the game dynamics are a Max Payne rip off, Max Payne is heavily based on a film called 'Hard Boiled' which is the prequel to Stranglehold.
