Conroe 6300 default settings?

I couldn't find this anywhere so thought I'd post here. What should the default BIOS settings be for my Conroe 6300 core 2 duo? I have a DS3 mobo and was wondering why the system seemed to be very slow? If someone could point me to where to look in the BIOS and what the settings should be that would be a great help,

is speedstep/EIST enabled? its meant to have 266 fsb and a 7 multiplier.

Thanks for this. I've checked th BIOS and it's at 266/x7 so that looks OK. I'll check the speedstep when I reboot. Do you know what I should check to start working out why it might be running slow? I'm doing a virus scan now, anything more I should start checking?

Check in CPU-z and see what the speeds are, also have a look at your PCI-E Link Width to make sure it hasn't flipped out and set itself to 1x
