Where do I look for one?

I've looked on Job Centre last few weeks and tried a few (15) places (applying) and no real luck. Also I have only a few qualifications

Try contacting companies direct - they'll probably get you to email or post in a CV and take it from there.

There are loads of industries you can get a career in with basic work experience and little qualifications: for example retail, warehouse, catering, security, driving etc. If you're a "hands on" person definitely look into an apprenticeship as a plumber, electrician, mechanic - something people actually need. You'll most likely be rewarded financially in the long-run too.

Have you tried any agencies? The only ones I know are Reed and Adecco, but you might have some luck with them.

This is the problem, not sure..

Currently a driver (multi drop) but havent a 7.5t licence but know Milton Keynes and Luton VERY well

Also part qual accountant (sage lvl 1 + 2 and AAT Foundation) but gave it up at college due to kids and so doesnt look good

Retail is okay

Warehouse is fine as im fit and can lift/move/handle large items (ie 70/80kg)

Can compentently build PC's

Days or night is fine but need more than current £7 per hour

Just need a new job! Wouldnt even mind post or utility reader or call centre anything will do tbh!

Well job, looking to do AAT in evenings after april (tax reasons) which will take 2 years but open to surgestions

Already tried local ambulance service (no jobs until sept) and no jobs that i could do (full time) at council or hospital

Hmmm.

Probably best if you scour the job websites then, they have a good collection of jobs usually.

With your background, I would dress up smart, get your cv and go into Milton Keynes and Luton. Go around all the agencies. Agencies are generally the best for warehouse/driver and low level office work. Then once you've done x-months and they like you. The company usually takes you on.

Lots of driving jobs here in Luton. Try contacting "A to B Travel". If you're looking for warehouse work, as you may already know, the major agencies here are PMP and Top Temps.
