Sorry I know this topic has probably been done but I do have amore specific question. I am off on holiday tomorrow and wanted something to keep me busy whilst on the flight/beach. Also my GF wants a DS Lite anyway and I have £30 vouchers for **** plus some 360 games to trade in, so I can get a pre-owned one for about £15.

The games I am thinking of getting first are:

Mario Kart
New Mario
and maybe Mario 64.

I wanted something like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing, but not both. So, which shall I get? I think I would prefer Harvest Moon, but is AC loads better?

Any other RPG/Simulation suggestions welcome :)

The missus has that new mario game and its class!

Also Castlevania dawn of sorrow is top draw! (if your into that sort of thing) :p

I don't think so no. I am worried that It won't get much use after holiday, but for how much I can get it for by trading in games I will never play, it seems a shame to not get one. I know if I don't I will be kicking myself on the plane as well (or not as there will be no leg room in cattle class)

ive said them before, and ill say them again :p

Trauma Centre, Hotel Dusk, Phoenix Wright...all class games.

They all look pretty interesting. I'll see if I can pick one of them up cheap 2nd hand. Probably Hotel Dusk if any.

EDIT: Oh, and, White or Black DS Lite?

What about the question about Harvest Moon and AC, which one is best? I am more geared towards Harvest Moon as it appears to actually have a goal.

EDIT: I just found out that there is a Theme Park DS, is this as good as I think it is?

42 all time classics is worth a punt. As is Sega Touch Darts. Bubble Bobble get's my vote for retro goodness.

I like my brain training but they aren't really games.

I am in two minds as to whether or not to get a DS Lite afterall. Just not sure how much use it would get after holiday.
I'd say go for it... they're great little consoles. My nipper has one and I didn't think I'd be interested at all in it, but I find myself playing it a helluva lot when he's asleep and the missus isn't playing with it.

I don't get the whole Animal Crossing thing though, to be honest... I work to earn money to pay my mortgage in real life, so why would I want to do that in a game too?

However, Mario Kart, Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk, New Super Mario Bros, 42 All Time Classics, etc... are truly great games. And the obscure type of games like Brain Training and Electroplankton still get played a surprising amount too.

Oh, nearly forgot... you'll be able to use Picto Chat in the plane too, so you can pretend to be a kid and chat with all the little kids and tell them that neither Father Christmas nor the Tooth Fairy exist and that it's their parents that leave presents/coins under the pillow instead :D
