I could not do without my PC or my consoles for gaming TBH, can't say one is better than the other as I tend to use the PC mainly for driving sims, which the consoles are never going to better, and use the console mainly for pick up and play games.

LMAO at naff comment, LOL even more at the games you listed for the PC will be on 360 also except for Crysis, not got a clue have you

yes but they will be inferior on the 360 in every way and you'll have to pay to play them online.

So you don't have a clue either.

A £179 360 Core would kick the poo out of a £179 PC for gaming, media stuff, well that's a different story, depending on what you want.

Cores can fairly easily be had for £150 via the net, just like you use the net to get the cheapest PC components.

a few more questions lads

How do you use www browser? can you browse any website with it? or just the PSN store?

Browse any site, maybe a few problems with some, but all ive tried have been ok. You may have to play around with the settings to get the display to your liking though. If you got a USB keyboard you can use that to type in the address if you want.

good grief, why don't you use it and find out, hardly rocket science is it, after all you love your pc so much i wouldn't of thought using the browser on the PS3 would hardly tax your mind.

because i think pc versions are better for FPS/RTS (fact pretty much) or because I don't like button bashing oriental stuff?

I was being as stupid as the rest of this thread is, I wasn't actually being serious.

Thanks for the useful post unlike others.

The text appears blured, any option to fix that?

Inferior in 'every' way? I'd disagree there. I'd say Call of Duty 2 and Bioshock are just 2 recent games which were far more enjoyable to play on console than on a PC.

I actually think its 720p thats making it blurry, its like having cleartype on.

1080i is slighly sharper but looks very aliased. choices choices.

sid

720p will be better in motion but 1080i will have a crisper still image.

I use 720p after using 1080i for about 3 months. I find things looks smoother and run better also.

bioshock was easier to control on pc, even 360 users agreed,

infact all FPS are better on pc cos you need a mouse/keyboard. it will always be better

same for RTS

I played the demo of Bioshock on 360 and I have the game on PC, and I've got to say theres very little difference. The pc graphics obviously look better, but the control mechanisms are pretty equal. Its not the sort of game where having a mouse is required (like say Quake or UT) I think having a mouse is a plus for the PC version, but having analogue movement is a plus for the 360 version (creeping just isn't the same on pc) The mouse was useful in the hacking minigame but overall I thought there was very little to choose between the versions. Saying all FPS need a mouse/keyboard is just plain wrong, sure its a better control input but that doesn't mean it is needed. If the game is properly designed for a control pad (games like Halo, Bioshock) then you won't miss the mouse/keyboard.

At least we agree its better which is what i was pointing out.
