Compact flash cards - RAW images

Oh, my mistake there, I thought you had a 1GB card. With the 350/400/20/30D it works out to be roughly 110 photos per GB in raw. Obviously this varies as the cameras have slightly different sensors in (20/30 are 8.2 compared to 8).
 
It probably would, the extra performance it offers doesn't justify the much higher price. It would be daft to get them when the Extreme III and Ultra 2 are available so cheaply at the moment and they offer 95% of the real world performance the IV gives.
 
The extreme IV has almost double the speed of the Extreme III. But you are right, the price for them is also double so its not worth it at least for me.

I have 10G of Extreme III here and its not going to change anytime soon.

It may have double the performance of the III in Sandisk's lab but in your camera the difference will be negligible.

Transfer speeds to the pc will be much more pronounced with faster cards. Extreme IV cards will only make a noticeable difference in camera's that support UDMA (is that what its called?) technology...mmmmmm D3...

I'd go with Extreme 3's for now as they offer the best performance/value for money IMO. (for quality cards that is)

I have the Sandisk Extreme IV 4GB! and that card is so fast, and great! - LOVE IT!
really good quality card, jessops had it for like £300 and i picked mine up on a auction site. for just over £100 :)

its awsome, wished i bought more. as they where buy it now's and sold really fast. could have doubled my money easy.

that was back in Jan.
