Hi,

I am after a 22" (only) LCD monitor. My budget is around £200 and unlike a lot of people on this site, I do not play any games.

The monitor will be used soley for watching tv/movies.

I am looking for one that has a glossy finish to the screen and thought you guys might have some reccomendations?

Thanks

EDIT: just to add, i'll be upgrading from a 17" CRT viewsonic that was made in 1995

I would recommend a 24" Panel for film watching, although i have no trouble with my LG 226TWQ i hear the 24" panels have better viewing angles and better picture quality.

That is probably one of the best 22" monitors on the market at the moment, but what type of connections are you looking for, typically for just TV stuff i would recommdna an HDMI/HDCP jack.

Yes tn film are only really good if you sit level with the screen and head on if you don't mind positioning it and or buying a monitor arm so you can say watch a film in bed from below it's height almost any 22" tn film screen will do.The only glossy screen 22" in this budget region i know of is the hewlett packard hp w2207 £200-£230.http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/ho/WF05a/20491-314293-314303-314303-314303-13117194.html

Thats had some good reviews i would recommend getting that but check what inputs it has, as i strongly recommend future proofing with a HDMI input.

went for the w2207. It seems aweomse and i'm pleased with my choice, despite the fact my fx5600 has dvi problems with it.

The angles are just fine for my room.

My previous screen was a 17" CRT so most larger lcds will look great to me anyway.

The glossy coating works best for me during the day, I don't seem to get any glare, again due to the my room layout.

thanks

Just ordered my w2207, will take some pics and a mini review when it gets here. I'am going to be replacing my 26" sammy tv with this monitor so hoping the extra resolution will be a benefot for work and games.

Now have my eyes on a 40" sony x-series tv :p :p :p
