Thinking about getting 1 of these, but will the fan be in the way of the memory? Cos the fan will have to face that way for the best cooling, wont it?

It will fit easily. On my DS3 the Freezer 64's fan overlaps slightly with the memory but it has about a centimetre of clearance above it.

What case do you have/ If it is an Antec 182 or 180 then you have the option of mounting the HSF with the fan blowing upwards and hot air being expelled by the top 120mm fan

Thats what im wrorried about, cos my mem is higher then normal memory?
I don't think it will fit with that Corsair memory, or at the very least you will have some problem fitting the fan back on once the Heatsink is attached, the fan will be pushing against the mem I should imagine?

Probably best to get yourself another cooler, I can't recommend the Freezer myself.

Thie problem is, I need a really good cooler cos my opty at stock speed reaches over the 70c mark, and its not todo with airflow in my case
Speedy, do yourself a favour and forget that cooler. I have used two of them and found one to be average and the othe snapped as I was installing it?

For a little extra money you can get yourself a great cooler, multi-platform too so if u upgrade you can take your cooler with you.

An Arctic Freezer 64 Pro is good for hamsters but not for an overclocker!

"Don't listen to that snob, I love my Freezer 64 Pro"

Im going to try reseating the stock heatsink/fan for the third time and if it still dosent improve anything,, I will buy a new cooler...

What cooler do you recommend then??,, its for a S939 motherboard

Got the cooler this morning, and its knocked down the load temps from 75c to 65c, still not brill temps but at least I can play games now, and with abit of luck it might knock a few more c as the paste settles in.

My case is getting quite packed now and is quite danm heavy too

You wouldnt think there would be much air flow in there, but before I had the opty 185, I had a FX55 Clawhammer @ 2.78 and the max that got up to was 54c, with stock heatsink/fan....... I miss my fx55:(
