Depends on the person you are saying too or listening.

in America it's considered a swear word, and I'd imagine similar to people of the Christian faith.

Personally, it's not, but I can see why it could be considered a minor one amongst certain people.

I got told it does at school and I was rather shocked, or is this just more crap from the christians?

Bloody hell is considered an expletive yeah, but only those two words paired together.

I would have said "bloody hell" and "hell yeah" were cursive, not expletive, and not swearing.

Well on that visit Australia advert, the fit girl at the end says "So where the bloody hell are you?". Since that advert is still showing I guess it's not a swear word.
