I have my e6300 stable @ 3220 (460fsb) with 1.336 vcore. At this voltage temps are definitely not an issue and I think the CPU can go much further....yet as soon as I go above 461 the system is unstable and after 465 it fails to post.

So far I know my memory is good for 1000mhz 5,5,5,15 2.05 so that's not an issue...and I have reduced the multiplier on the CPU to 6x, but I can't figure it out.

I've even tried cranking all the mobo voltages all the way up, but it just won't be stable from 461-465 and after 465 it doesn't boot, even when my e6300 is set at 6x

I have seen some P5B-Deluxe's going up to 550mhz so what's the deal here?

how much further over 465 have u tried ?

might just be you've hit the limit of the processor rather than the mobo, my old ds3p will post at 510 with my 6300 but is nowhere near stable no matter what voltages i use :(

I've tried 480, 501, 515....none of which post.

Also I said I lowered my multi to 6x....so at 500fsb it's 3.0ghz...which is 220mhz less than I have it stable at right now.

My P5B Deluxe went all the way up to 500MHz FSB but I needed quite a bit of voltage to do it.

Try setting the vcore at 1.4v and increasing the FSB, once it stops going up increase to 1.45v. You shouldn't need to go above 1.46v to achieve 500FSB, even if you have big vdroop like I did on my P5B.

I think you guys missed the part where I said I set the multi to 6x and it still won't go above 460fsb. It's not the cpu vcore. Also I did the vdroop mod and it doesn't fluctuate at all under load.

i think you;ve hit the fsb limit for the chip, i;ve tried it before with processors that let you drop the mulitplyer but i cant ever say its helped increase the fsb :(

My P5B-D goes up to about 487MHz-FSB using a E6300 on a lower multi. To get it to even boot any higher I have to crank the South-Bridge Voltage.

I read that running a really high FSB in conjuction with a lower than normal CPU-Muti makes the NB freak out.

Did you try adding more volts to the northbridge and southbridge?
