carrying on from the ka engine thread, what would you like to build as a crazy/sleeper car? either totally crazy or sleeper car.

I myself would love to shoe horn a 2liter v6 into the middle and back of a fiat chinquecento and make it rear wheel drive. Obviously everything would have to be upgraded on it, But leaving the outside as normal as poss apart from it would have to have larger wheels.

So what would your crazy contraption be?

funny, was thinking about this but a few days ago

a mark I golf gti with 1.8t 20v lump in there.... obviously tuned to cupra R standard.

Ford Focus (RS8 conversion).

RWD racing spec conversion with V8 500hp n/a ford engine from Ford Racing.

I would leave it normal looking (no rollcage), unless it scared me too much (probably a rollcage ;))

for me would have to be something that never came with a "hot" or slightly fast version, something like a prius with a supra drivetrain or like the like eat that you carbon footprint fools.

Volvo 240 with some silly large turbo engine in it!

For me, a normal looking 5 door Focus Zetec with a 400 BHP 2 litre turbo conversion, theres a few been done, 1 (probs more) on FFOC

Smart car with a bike engine

Seat arosa with a 20V turbo

Saxo converted to RWD with a bike engine in the boot

Mk2 golf with a 20V turbo engine ;)

All looking standard from outside!

i have silly thoughts of a focus stuffed with a rx7 tuned engine. dont even think it would fit properly at all.

allways wanted to turn my old Polo MK II into a turbo nutter car

squeeze a VR6 engine in it and turbocharge it.

but then leave it completely stock outside and go baiting saxo owners.

If I had to build a sleeper, I would buy an E39 BMW M5, and replace the front and rear bumpers with those from the SE, the wingmirrors with SE items, conceal the exhuasts as per SE, fit SE 17" wheels, and badge it as a 520i.

Would like a Mk1 Escort that was featured in the mags many moons ago, had a Mk1 bodyshell dropped over Saff Cos 4x4 floorpan and running gear. YUM!!!.
:)

My Olds or a similar GM wagon, bodywork in slightly ratty condition, with a 'vette Z06 LS7 motor and a Gear Vendors modified 'box sending power to a reasonably short-geared rear axle with LSD.

Well I'll be doing one of mine...

Ford Anglia 105E with turbo'd engine (Nissan CA18DET in my case) - 13" steelies or period alloys, and rust/multi-coloured panels!

When I had my Mitsubishi Carisma, I often had thoughts of dropping in a 2.0 200bhp V6 from an FTO.

arent vr6's better supercharged rather than turbo'd?
