NUS Extra

You dont pay for NUS cards, they are free

You can get discount of various things but the NUS Extra gives you discount on a whole lot of things

I dont mind paying £10 for one, i pay £20 a year for a railcard and that saves me a lot on train fare monies

My 1st year it was £2.50 and I cant remember using it more than once, 2nd year it was £10 if you wanted one so I skipped it and got my student discounts by flashing my Uni ID card instead. Now this 2 tier thing just looks odd and the amazon discount doesn't apply to stuff I will buy (except maybe some books). load of balls IMO.

Well yeah Subway is cool because you can get stuff in there that wont kill you with fat (looking at you Dominoes). Its a fairly cheap place to eat even without discount though, esp with all the vouchers they give out.

personally i think its a waste of money, you get pretty much the same discounts with any nus card. and dunno about other unis but in newcastle in freshers week youll be given a snapfax thing which gives you a footlong subway +drink for £3.50. 10x better than extra card, and it gives you 50% off dominoes on monday+tues and 25% off all other days.
