My next card

I think im just gonna go for the BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC2 768MB £370.11p. How good is this card, will there be a big difference compared to the card i got now the x1900xtx.

The difference will be huge, but i would go with easyriders idea and get the cheapest 8800GTX. you can easily overclock it to those OC2 speeds.

If you have the cash then just buy the BFG,with the extended warranty and higher clocks it`ll add more to the re-sale value.

The standard ocuk one only has 12 months warranty doesnt it?

Im a total newb when it comes to nvidia cards the last one i had was a ti 4400, or something like that. Anyway if your sure im best off with the cheapest one then so be it, but all i care about is performance ive got the money and this will be my last upgrade.

So you'll still be using it in twenty years? ;)

no basically im hopefully joining the army soon so i will be on poor wages so wont be able to get all these expensive upgrades. So really i want the best card you can get regardless of price so hopefully itll play all the games the best it can:)

If this is a card to last you for a little while then I'd get the one with the best Warranty as the OCUK one only has a 1 year warranty. You could always sell the 8800GTX a few weeks before the next card comes out and you'd still get good money for it. Then the 8800GTX's successor (when it arrives) will be a much cheaper and reachable option and your PC will still be in line for top end gaming.

So if you're going to keep it for absolute ages then get the more expensive card with the better warranty and if you like my suggestion then get the OCUK one for £291 ;).
