The Tottenham v Arsenal game obviously sticks out for me and quite a few on this board, should be a few goals in that game. Lennon and Bent back in training doubt they will start though?

Who is going to play at the back for Arsenal with Senderos suspended?

Managed to scam a pair of free tickets and car parking to the game Saturday! Going up tomorrow and staying overnight :)

Only downsides are that:

A) I'm taking my girlfriend
B) I've been "advised" not to wear my United shirt, so I'm guessing the majority of fans around me will be blue

Should be a tough game though, expecting the following lineup:

VdS
Brown - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
Ronaldo - Carrick - Scholes - Giggs
Tevez - Saha

Should hopefully do the business

To add to that I think the return of Ronaldo will be huge for us. When he got suspended I thought it'd be interesting to see how other players would do at taking free kicks etc. I was looking forward to seeing Tevez and Hargreaves have a bash at them.

But what happened? We didn't get hardly ANY freekicks over the past 3 games. Why's that? Because we didn't have anyone who scared the **** out of defenders when running at them. Having Ronaldo back WILL win us more set pieces in dangerous areas of the pitch.

And also, I bet stats will show that our attempts on goal was pretty low with Ronaldo out, whenever he gets the ball he looks to have a shot and we've needed that kind of player since he's been out. Tottenham game is a great example, all it needed was for someone to step up and have a crack at goal.

Fergie won't risk Rooney Saturday. I'd guess he *might* get 20 minutes off the bench, but it's more likely he'll feature against Sporting in preparation for next Sunday.

Any reason why the Utd and Arsenal matches are on so early as they don't seem to be televised.

Maybe because Rafa was complaining we were the only club getting early fixtures after the international break? Thats probably not the case but I can't think of any other reason.

Looks like both Gerrard and Carra should be fit to play tomorrow, hopefully Finnan is fit too though not too big a worry as we could easily switch Arbeloa to the right and play Riise at lb.

Bristol R 0-3 Leeds

My god, so happy! 6 wins in 6 and off bottom of the league! Kandol and Beckford on fire too, great stuff!

Struggling to follow the footy right now due to being in USA..Greetings to the regulars in the sports arena and good luck to everyone's respective team this weekend!

I guess Gilberto will be playing at the back with Toure. Not ideal really. As long as our midfield do their stuff we should be ok though.

Rafa Benitez will hand a dossier to the Premier League that he claims proves Liverpool are the victims of a fixtures conspiracy.

The Anfield manager is furious at a schedule that he insists is stacked against the Reds - and now he will make a personal plea to the league to stop it happening again.

Benitez points to the fact that after every international break this autumn his team have to play in an early Saturday kick-off away from home.

That, he claims, prevents his side from even having one training session.

The league leaders play at Portsmouth tomorrow, in the 12.45pm kick-off slot. Most of his squad were on international duty until yesterday afternoon, and that will happen on four occasions in the early part of this season. Benitez is furious and adamant title rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are not subjected to a similar exhausting schedule.

He said: "Once people see the statistics it will be easy to explain why we feel aggrieved.

"We have to talk with the Premier League. I don't know if we can change things but we will try." Benitez has already been accused by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson of bleating over the fixture list.

Yet United only have one 12.45pm trip because of police intervention over their match at Everton, which has a history of trouble.

Chelsea have no early Saturday kicks-offs and Arsenal just one. The figures are worse for Liverpool because after the international break in the New Year, they are away again - to Chelsea. Benitez also pointed to the fact that last season they were away the weekend after almost every one of their Euro fixtures.

Daily Mirror

Drawing attention to:
'Benitez has already been accused by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson of bleating over the fixture list.

Yet United only have one 12.45pm trip because of police intervention over their match at Everton, which has a history of trouble.'

because obviously a trip that's at mid day is much better than one that kicks off later. a lovely example of factually accurate but rubbish reporting by the mirror there.

Off the bottom of the league

Beckford scored another cracker too :)

Deffo a tough game for us today, if we can come away with full points we'll have earned them.

Be interesting to see the starting XI.

Shame I'm doing overtime today and have to put up with Beeb updates :(

Anyone watching the Liverpool game? If so, gimme plenty of updates- you lot are usually quicker than BBC Sport!!! :p
