Apple delivery time

Ordered my macbook yesterday afternoon and the status says that it's now shipped, from about 2pm today.

I haven't ordered from their site before - does anyone have any experience with how long things usually take to come?

Apologies if this is classed as mentioning competitors although I'm not overly sure it is...
 
On your invoice it usually has an ETA which is usually pretty accurate and will also change if your delivery is delayed or despatched early.
 
Yeh it says that it's estimated between the 13th and 17th (yesterday and monday).

Was hoping it'll come later today (the 14th) :)
 
Probably would have been better posted in the Mac sub-forum.

Have a look on http://www.apecode.com )providing it's coming from China) and put in your shipping number, (beginning with 80) and it will tell you the exact whereabouts of your MacBook.

The Macs usually come from China so take the best part of a week to get here.
 
They're a funny bunch, Apple. You can get stuff within a few days (iPod cover) or delayed for something like two weeks (MacBook Pro).

Can only assume when the UK stock is gone, customers are forced to wait x amount of days for the next batch to arrive.
 
They may have stock in England, but i'm pretty sure most come from China.

Also, the built to order Macs always come from China, saying that, my stock MBP came from there too.
 
MacBooks were showing as 24 hours on the site, and the guy I spoke to on the phone said it would be here Monday if not delayed by the iPod.

Fair enough, but when Apple say 24hrs etc on their site, it means how long before it will get dispatched. They don't make it very clear.
 
My iMac only took a week to come, which I believe is good for apple.

Exactley. It could be up to 2 or 3 weeks before it comes, depending on wheres it's being shipped from.
