Samsungs make me wet, but I can't justofy a HOOOOGE TV just yet and am settling on a 32".

Is 1080p available in the Samsung range at this size? It will be hooked up to my PC occassionally for movies and some gaming.

Just wondering really

Nope. Unless you buy a PC monitor, Dell have the £900 30" which is higher resolution than 1080p. Smallest 1080p TV is 37"

Actually, that isn't true. There are a few 1080p CRT sets at 32" but the main one (Samsung, as it happens) suffers from some banding issues afaik.

There are 32" 1080p LCD's in the US, but no plans to release any over here as far as I know.

For the record, I have a 37" 1080p set, and with the PC at 1920x1080 I have to be right on top of it to be able to see any text when browsing. A 32" set at this resolution would have to be used as a PC monitor really, i.e with your face right in front of it for it to be usable, in which case you might as well get yourself a PC monitor.

If you're dead set on a Samsung TV, just get yourself a 32" R87. I just got one for my Dad for £460 quid and it looks superb at 1360x768 resolution on his PC. If you're not fussed about the Samsung, the Panasonic 32LMD70 is probably the best in it's class.

Only CRT projectors. Some have 2000 scan lines, which is double 1080p. CRT TV's (standard) do PAL which is 720x576. Then you have Samsung which is upto 1080i

Plat panels have far higher resolution than any standard TV.

Is anybody actually still making CRT projectors. I remember when Barco and Seleco used to make them with Faroudja line quadruplers but I think they are all LCD and DLP now.
