any one else having problems getting there 680i board over 3ghz ?? the Auto voltage settings are crap ! and it seems impossible to find the right voltages to make it work.

"Extreme overclocking" Yer right !!

Any way I am selling mine I give up. Whats the best board to overclock the best with a Q6600 ??

thanks !!

You'll have to give more details as to what you've done so far before anyone can help, vcore, linked, unlinked, mcp, etc etc, also what bios revision.

I already told you about my nightmare with 680i + Q6600, so I'll just say "YES!!" :(

My Q6600 wouldn't go over 2.8GHz on it, put it in my IP35 Pro and got 3GHz without trying. Now at 3.2GHz stable and going to keep trying to hit that 3.4GHz mark if it kills me.

I'm thinking of getting this board with Q6600 but you guys have made me think again.I'm joining the pci-express world ready for the new games coming out and looking for a good 680i board, but I don't know which to go for.Any ideas?

Why the hell would you buy 680i if you're not using SLI?

It's slower than other Intel chipsets, whilst running hotter, RAID is slower. The latest P35 boards clock memory just as well.

With the rest of the hardware that's on the market at the moment, the ONLY reason to go for a 680i based board is SLI (edit: and possibly the unliked option for the memory...)

My Quad is clocking to 3.6 fine on my 680i, but it does require a high voltage, as the vdroop is increadibly bad ( 0.1v at load  ) The reason for me getting this board was because it was cheap at the time, and i thought i was going to use sli (which it now appears i am not, as my rather poorly planned water-cooling won't allow me to [rad is covering 2nd pci-e slot..])

If i were building again now, i can 100% say i would be getting the Abit ip35 pro, soo many reviews say this is an awesome board, and my fav board of all time was an abit :)
