On the wagon, sorta
im using the latest beta drivers from nvidia but for some rason ati tool wont recognise my card or its clocks is this normal?

this is what message it gives me when i try anything

The video card you selected for overclocking in ATITool does not seem to be used by Windows.

Visual testing has been disabled.

To fix this, go to Display Properties, Settings, and enable the monitor output of the card

I get his error as well and yet to find the solution, just stuck to using RivaTuner but ATITool is my preferance as it has the 3D visualisation next to it to watch for tearing

i usually just use the nvidia control panel utility and rivatuner but would love ati tool to see if ive maxed the card out in the sig, dont fancy taking a chance manually above those speed just incase i run it at speeds it cant handle without realising till its to late.

I get this error with an 8800GTX. Anyone know of a fix now?

Edit

Nevermind, I thought I had downloaded 0.27 when had actually got 0.26. Works fine with 0.27 :)

Have you done this.

If you browse to "C:\Program Files\RivaTuner v2.06" or wherever you have installed the program too, there is a file called "RivaTuner.cfg". Open that with Notepad, and browse to the line:

G92 = 610h-61Fh

Edit that line and change it to:

G92 = 600h-61Fh

That line should be around line #60. Edit as above, then save and reload Rivatuner and you should have all the options such as overclocking and temperature monitoring.

You can still use ATITool to check for artefacts, which is what it's good for really. Use RivaTuner to actually overclock it.

Pretty disappointed with my card. Anything above 600 core and it shows artifacts then locks up and reboots :(

Anything I can do to try and make it stable? I don't think so, guess it just not a good clocker.
