Best PCI-E card for use with 300w power supply?

i use to run a X1600 offav a 300W n it ran fine (although i did notice my lights would dimm every now n again lol) id say the 7300 series or lower, 7600 if your lucky though if you want something a bit more powerfull ull need to upgrade the PSU
 
Aye, it's only for my Nana though. The occasional game to kill the boredom while i'm there is all it's really needed for. The 6150 nVidia integrated graphics are a tad crap, so even just the simplest of upgrades will suffice. Any opinions on the 7300LE?

Don't be silly, she can only just about manage Word, let alone an actual game. My sisters play the Sims, I play CoD2 or whatever I can brag from people.

Oh, read it wrong, thought it was for your nana to play games :p. Well COD2 might struggle with anything below a 7300GT, and even that wont play it on high.

High? not Ultra high?

At 1440x900 when I played COD2 with a GTS I got like 30 lowest, and like 60+ in a lot of places, this was with an old 3700+ cpu and 1gb ram too, I think I was also using AA, also got everything set to the maximum too.
 
Okay, everything on absolute max at 1280x1024 i get around 40FPS to about 60 in tunnels etc. With E6600 at stock, 2GB PC2-5300 RAM and 680i mobo.

I'm sure thats pretty low, I cant say exactly though since I dont have the game anymore, but even at 1280x1024, with my X800XTPE it was playable.
