I remember there being a uni room pics thread a few years ago but cant find it anywhere, is it in the archives? If not use this thread to post pics of your uni room :D i know its still a bit early for most people but i want to get a rough idea of what to expect when i start next week :)

Thanks guys :D

Oh btw - if you have nice kit in your room, remember to leave an address, the window open, and a time when you're not in.

K thanks bye bye.

(spot reserved, my phone isn't being very tolerant this morning)..

It would appear I've lost pics of the actual rooms though! Tbh my halls was a decent size compared to most, obvioulsy you cant tell from that though!

I dont have any pictures of my halls room, but in our halls the rooms were all different sizes, its hard to expalin but basicly if you were in the corner you'd get a room nearly twice the size of other rooms!:D

My friend had a weird room, when you opened the door there was a small corridor, probably about 10 feet long before it opened out into the room, don't know what they were thinking when they designed those halls.

I'm moving into Durham Uni on the 30th, your room looks so much better than the one I stayed in  Which college are you in?

I'm in Cuth's (St Cuthbert's Society). Our kitchen is quite nice too.

Just wondering (out of curiosity) do you get everything in the room (ie desk, wardrobe and bed) or do you have to bring some of it yourself?

Everything, including the chair (and even the bedding) was all provided. Do other uni's not provide basic desks/wardrobes?

That is incredibly similar to my halls room in first year. Is that the en suite to the right of the wardrobe?

It is indeed, a 'shower-pod' wet room.

What's that strange shaped object in the bottom left?

A pump-action rocket ;) This photo shows it better

I move in on friday, will update with pics when i do.

Although i have to say, lcd tv, surround sound, xbox 360, mini fridge etc doesn't really look like typical student living conditions :p

My halls room was pretty barren compared to these luxury pads! I didn’t spend much time in it, so I guess it didn’t really matter. Although I did cultivate a mouldy sausage for 8 months... Hmm, high-def LCD panel vs. festering bratwurst. You decide!

Damn that is a nice kitchen, I got in yesterday, there are bits missing form the fridge and freezer (how they think that is going to store everything for 5 people in a tiny fridge/freezer combo I wont ever be able to figure out), the oven doesnt work, the extractor smells like its filters have never been replaced and we have a small table near enough to a desk in size for the 5 of us.

My room is ok as rooms go, but its not without its problems either.

bigred, your halls look exactly like I remember of one of my friends' halls in first year at Edinburgh, I only went there a couple of times though - it's all about student flats :P

how many share that kitchen?
