Anybody wanna buy a used cambelt?

"Rover", the parts for some models are getting rare.

I've seen a used Rover wheel bearing sell for £95.

I don't see how this is possible as parts manufacturers sign contracts requiring them to produce for at least 5 years after the model ceases production IIRC.
When did Rover go bang?

Surely as part of the deal to import here they had to guarantee similar parts availability though?

Not sure they care, most of the parts are prolly available through Tata, maybe?

A friend of mine had a City Rover, she crashed it, bent the frame, bonnet, and both wings. Also, as is the way with the City Rover, it had a gearbox, at least 1 suspension joint, and at least 1 wheel bearing gone. It's done just over 20,000 miles.

The body panels (same as the Indica) were impossible to find, and are now constructed mostly of filler. The suspension component was available, the wheel bearing was swapped for one dimensionally identical, and the gearbox is making do.

I know it's illegal to sell a that isn't in road-worthy condition (unless you state that it's not sound).

But it it the same case with bits of your car?
