I ignored this when it came out at the cinema, but a few weeks ago I thought there was no harm in watching it. So I bought the DVD. I watched it and all I can say is WOW, what a film. I really REALLY enjoyed it. I never took any notice of it, but I can honestly say, what a good, enjoyable film. 9/10 for me, in terms of enjoyment.

This did all happen a few weeks back, but I forgot to post a thread.

What do you all think of it? :)

Very good film, apart from the camera work during the fight scenes, I was hoping to see some of the action...

Thanks, I hadn't seen that yet. I'm quite excited now!

You can tell who the Joker's voice is in that :D. Are there any other confirmed bad guys?

Joker is Heath Ledger matey

Edit : oops u said you can tell, not can you tell :D.. nvm :D

Easily the best of the films. Perfect almost, getting Christopher Nolan in was the perfect decision as the first thing he wanted was a top quality cast, which makes a change.

I'm a big Batman fan, have been since I was a wee feller and I loved Batman Begins. The only minus points for me were:

Scarecrow's not in it that much. He's worthy of a film to himself and Cillian Murphy was spot-on.

The shaky-cam during the fight scenes. You think that's bad, watch Bourne Ultimatum :D

Tom Wilkinson as Falcone. Sorry, but that accent...

Otherwise it's one of my fave films. And the soundtrack? Zimmer's a genius :)

Really looking forward to Dark Knight.

With regards to baddies-
Heath Ledger's the Joker
Harvey Dent's in it but I've no idea if he becomes Two-Face. There's a "Crime Boss" listed on IMDB and in the comics it was a Mob Boss who chucked guff on his face and turned him mental so it might be.
Gamble- dunno who's playing him

Should be a corker. There's tons more info on the boards at www.superherohype.com

I'm shocked none of you have mentioned how bad the new batmobile looked, it looked diabolical!

Other than that not a bad film :p

I liked that. Was never a fan of the ones they had in the first four films (was never a fan of ANYTHING in the Schumacher ones!!!) but I liked the Tumbler- the idea of a military prototype being used. Each to their own though :)

If you didn't like that, check the gallery for Dark Knight on IMDB- you'll like the vee-hickle on there even less!!!

Designed and built in Britain after the Americans said 'We're not sure how to get the front wheel arangement working!!' then 'Its imposible!!.. it'll never drive correct.. let alone go round corners!!'... The British blokes said 'Yep we'll get it working!!.' and they did beyond anyones expectations!... it handles like a sports car and has a nice top speed (faster than the original ones!!)

i agree it was probably the best out of the Batman films although i honestly wish they would make one with this short film in mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hjp0I_okX0w&mode=related&search=

dont get me wrong i love the 'dark knight' but im tired of all the beefed up suits he wears, use that version and just get a no name big guy to play him .. heck even the Joker in that short is better than Jacks' in the first film

How Can you say that! It's like Jack was made for the role It's like he was born to play a madman:eek:

heeh, Jacks cool, but even Cesar Romero was better ... i urge you to go watch Batman 1966 which is how Batman was meant to be ... i grew up on the adam west series and recently bought that version and laughed all the way through, pure genius
