Robert Jordan has died

Aww bugger, the last book had better be released!

(and RIP and stuff, but how dare he die before finishing the series!)

Never really got into his books but I know he was very popular. Sad he never got to finish his series. I REALLY hope this does not happen to my favorite author, GRR Martin - He has to finish A Song Of Ice And Fire.

Rest in Peace.

The last time I read his blog he seemed to be ok and was working away on the last book :(

BTW the last book will be finished...not sure who will finish it but apparently his wife knows everything, and even knew the end before the first book was written.

Thats how the Silmarillion was written. It is basically a collection of Tolkien's notes (completed by Christopher IIRC).

However it is very obvious it wasn't written by the man himself.

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning."

His wife and the guy that maintains the blog (Is it his brother?) both know the story so thankfully the book will be finished.

Oh no, not another death, Colin on Saturday & then James 'Robert Jordan' Rigney on Sunday :(

From reading his blogs he seemed to be pulling through it and responding to treatment well. Obviously not as well as was hoped :(

Rest In Peace James :(
