hi,

first post so....

I've recently run the 3D Mark 06 test on my machine which returned a score of 4635.
This was run with the screen at 1280 x1024 - although I run games at 1024 x 768 - should I re-run the test in this res??

I was wondering of this is a good score for the spec I've got - or not?

Compaq Presario AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 Ghz
2GB ram (in 4 sticks of 512mb)
EVGA 7900 GS KO 256 mb

I'm a complete noob in these respects so plain english will be greatly appreciated..:)

Thanks in advance - andy

Yeah thats a decent score for your system ;)

Cheers.

Just that reading on here and seeing peoples scores of 22000 etc, made me wonder.

But then I look at their specs.

Basically mines just a PC World special (with a better graphics card) thats used by all the family. So its not had a huge amount on money spent on it.

That's very good for that setup :)
The crazy scores are for wicked overclockers, a normal for a highend system isn't really over 12K.
