The worst sitter in English Football?

Hmm...Ryan Giggs a few years back against Arsenal in the FA cup when ManU lost 2-0. 2:30*

And the miss more than 10 years ago by Ronnie...Ronnie.. I can't remember but he was playing for Liverpool. 3:35*

Yeah that's the one he's talking about I think. It was just outside of the box, with his right foot iirc.

For me it has to be the Kanu miss, as mentioned by a few others.

Is that the one where he sidestepped the keeper then blazed it over an open goal?

Thats the one I was thinking of.

Yeah, it was apalling. I'm amazed he's got so high on the game with only 1 foot. He literally has NO right foot and that proved it :(. He did so brilliantly to keep his composure there as well, then skies an open goal :(.

Was he at Portsmouth or Birmingham when he did that, the side foot where it just went vertical?

53 seconds in this

LOADS in that, but the worst one has got to be 2:55 in, he's passed the keeper and the defenders, not a hard angle, ball is under control rolling on the ground not at great speed, 2 yards out and he manage to put it wide.

guess he just got lucky

No, it's because he's a genius player. However, over all the years he's had no excuse not to practice with his right-foot, it would have helped him and us a lot more. I remember reading somewhere that Beckham would do an extra hours training when everyone would go home crossing and shooting with his left foot, and you could tell.

Am I one of the only few that doesn't think Kanu's was as bad as most people make out?

It rolled up on to his leg as he tried to stab at it. Looks unbelievable but it's definitely do-able. The miss posted by the original poster is far far worse, as was Giggs' against Arsenal in the FA Cup 03, or Ljungberg against Bolton, again in the FA cup in 05. Can't find it on youtube but we were winning 1-0 and we broke.. Bergkamp played Pires in down the left, who took on a Bolton player and then squared it for Freddie to tap in to an empty net. It wasn't rolling particularly fast, nor did it bobble but Freddie blazed it over from literally 4-6 yards out. :D Luckily for him he was the scorer of the earlier, and match winning, goal so he didn't get TOO much stick. :D

Gotta be that Forlan miss, the ball was rolling so slowly and he was only 6 yards out under no pressure.

As for Kanu's, it was amazing how he managed to get the ball over the bar from that position but it was moving quite fast and it bobbled so were'nt as bad imo.
