Lian Li V1000 plus, is it worth it?

I'm thinking of getting a Lian Li V1000 plus, but it's getting on a bit and hasn't been updated in a while - other Lian Li's have rubber mounts on drive bays, etc.....do you reckon I should get one or hold out for something else?

Are they worth the £130 (inc VAT) or is there something else that is better?

I currently have a PC7+ and although it's nice it's not great.

I have a v1000b, and it's an awesome case, the vxxxx series, imo, look absolutely sexy, and, as with all lian li's, the build quality is amazing. You wont be disapointed...

The antec p182 is also a very nice buy, the cable mangement is leaps and bounds ahead of a lot of other cases out there.

There are also a couple of other (newer) lian li's that have some fantastic extra features, but the names escape me..

I think for pure looks the V1000+ is the best looking case, on that basis I would buy it alone, build quality is amazing I very much doubt you'd be disappointed, only reason I haven't got one is because of the price I don't have the money.

Love my v1000+ to bits, lovely build quality plus it looks great.
Cooling is good on it to due to the different fan setups you can use to suit your system.

Another vote. Once you've gone brushed aluminium black, you don't go back!

Light, joy to work on, pretty. Once you get used to them the side covers come off beautifully, good stock fans - reasonably quiet at 5v, but noisy (and powerful) at 12v.

Over time I've dispensed with the bits which make it a plus (+): the CPU cooler cover has marginal use, gets in the way, and is useless when you get a monster heatsink like a Tuniq. The VGA fan contraption, I found equally useless as most good GFX cards have a dedicated exhaust out the back.

I've had mine a year, and still love the look of it,,, if you can afford it, get it.
