Just got paid a full month's wages today even though I've not worked since August 5th. It's roughly £1000, reckon they will notice?

Can you afford to pay it back if you spend it and they do notice?

I can. I've got about ~2.5k saved for a car, was going to spend around ~500 on a HDTV but I'm now thinking of getting a decent 42" for slightly more and risking it. I doubt it will be in my bank for long though, I'll most probably give it a week.

Thing is, I'm not sure if I'm acutally owed it as where I worked we were effectively always a month behind when it came to wages. I'll just hope and pray :D.

If you can afford to pay it back then you might as well keep/spend it until they ask for it.

If they never ask for it, win-win.

Just move it to your savings account for a bit, till they notice.
I like this idea too, consider the interest a gift for keeping it warm for them.

Or call and ask them...

Why is it ok to keep money that isn't yours? Those saying keep it I assume you'd be ok with people stealing from a shop or your home too then?

I'm just wishful thinking really. 1k to a company that returns 9 billion in profit per year is not much but 1k to a college student is quit a lot :p.

....In summary keep the money! I know I would. Its not the end of the world if they ask for it back just say you didn't notice.

this happened to me (about £500) and i spent it all..... then they asked for it back, was alright tho cos i could pay it back in monthly installments :p
