Cheapskates - where do you shop?

Bloody hell! My wifes trying to potty train them at 2 no wonder shes finding it hard!

I wouldn't even bother at 2, seriously, there is no rush. Don't make life harder for yourselves than it needs to be. I go by if they have accidents all the time after the first few days to a week then they're not ready really. It shouldn't really take longer than a week for them to understand but I don't think 2 year olds really understand.

I think it depends if you have a son or daughter actually, having had both i found that my boys were nearly 3 and my daughters were just 2 when they came out of nappies. also they all wore cloth nappies which i think help they then know when they are wet.

I have both too, daughter is 6 in Feb and she was 3 too, son 4 next month and other son 8 months. I looked for the signs and when they were ready took a week. Tried earlier but no luck, just weren't ready. We did have big events such as moving house and having another baby which puts them back a few months too.

When I tried with our daughter the first time she wasn't getting it and I see no point in wiping up wee for months on end when they're clearly not ready. Some children are and some aren't but I think most are later rather than sooner. They all end up out of nappies anyway so I don't rush them at all, just go at their pace and start when they're happy to and when they can vocalise and understand why and what they're doing.

About the same size yeah and IIRC they're 46p or around that mark.

In that case i'll save my self 30p and carry on buying what i got hehe, I had the curry noodles & the left over roast beef earlyer and it was just lovely :p

You don't have to be a cheapstake to shop at ASDA! :)

For true cheapskate food go to Farmfoods.

I like the Kippers (boil in bag type) from there, only like 75p and its makes a nice meal with pea's & potatoes / mash.

Not everything in farmfoods is cheaper I have found though, Only thing I buy in there is chinese ribs / barbecue wings/ribs mix, I much prefer the big rack of ribs that is in lidl tho as there is more meat on there and easyer to eat and costs roughly the same.

Aldi/Lidl. Agree with the above about the food being very nice compared to similar prices budget food in bigger stores. Cheap drink too. :D

Failing that, Morrisons about an hour or so before they close, they reduce the prices of all there bakery/chiller food/etc stuff that's not been sold yet. I bought 5 jam donuts for 10p reduced from 59p last night . They have Goodfella's pizza on special too. Buy one get two free!
