Been paid this month even though I've not worked for 2 month.

No way would I tell them, keep it until they notice, and like someone else said give it 2-3 months, if they dont notice... then woohoo!

Aye its not like your taking some granny's life savings. Besides what would your rather have a 42inch HDTV or your conscience! :p

There was a similar thread to this when I first came to these boards and it split everyone in two just like this thread will, the do gooders and the bad boys!

Bad boys aren't cool imo. It doesn't matter whose money you are taking, you're still taking someone's money and it's not yours.

Do people have no morals these days??

I sold my soul to the devil long ago, hehe. It's their mistake and its not like its going to affect their millions of profit. You can bet that if the situation was reversed they would not tell you of any short paying!

But hey each to their own :)

I think I'll just give it till next 'payday' and see if the same thing happens again. If it does then there is definately something wrong.

Or call and ask them...

Why is it ok to keep money that isn't yours? Those saying keep it I assume you'd be ok with people stealing from a shop or your home too then?

hey, if im stupid enough to give 1k to someone... i dont think i deserve it back

edit: theres no stealing involved... the money was given to him, no?

*composes phishing email*

Dear blah blah, We haveaccidentally given you extra monies, please send the money back to ((Personal Address))...

Mwuahahhaa

Keep it, put in seperate bank account so you don't spend it.
If you dont hear anything until Christmas, or untill you leave the company - it's yours :)

After the amount of time's my work and bank have ****** me up with not paying when they should etc...I would keep it.

He's not "taking" anything. He was given it. It's not stealing as per the real meaning of the word, though in law it technically would be. He would be given the opportunity to pay it back if they noticed anyway though, so he can't really lose if he just keeps it for a bit to see what happens.

Buy NR shares.......wait till the company notice while hoping the share price rises again(likely)......sell shares for a profit(hopefully at least double) and give the company the money you owe back.
