Just wondering if those wheels can be removed from the Lian Li PC-V1000 PLUS ? I love the look of the case but the solid wheels just dont do it for me. I like to have the case on the desk. I know they lock in place, but the wheels look ugly, just my opinion of course. Does the case come with alternative pads too for fusy people like me ? :)

I'm fairly certain the wheels come off and there are already pads on the case.
Hopefully someone with one handy to check will comment soon :)

Thanks for the replies. Its a fantastic looking case, really special. Just not sure of those wheels. Do any of you have your V1000 on top of your desks with them being wheel based ?

If you decide to take the wheels off I think the case will need to have some clearance due to the power supply being located at the bottom of the case - the larger fan within the power supply would be facing the bottom of the desk!

Got mine on my desk with the wheels on, need them on really for clearance, as the case gerts some of it's air flow through the perforations on the bottom of the case... I think they look alright...

I have my V2000 on the floor behind a table. Looks brilliant with the wheels on, very handy when I need to pull the pc out to get access to the draws behind it :D

Mines on the desk with the wheels on =]

You can lock the rear wheels anyway so the thing doesn't roll anywhere as well! If your room's on a slant that is =/ haha

But as said the wheels help the clearance on the bottom to allow air in the case theoretically...although that part of the case is only for the psu chamber soooooo....Depends what psu you've got I guess as the fan is facing to the bottom of the case normally.

You could always get some classy looking 'hi-fi' type feet if you prefer the look of them to the wheels though

not only can u take the wheels off the V1k/V2k + towers i found with mine that u can swap them around so the wheels with the locking tab are at the front easier to lock off , rather than trying to reach around the back to lock off the tower.

who ever at Lian li had that brain wave wants shooting ....
