I hope so, although it could easily be gash. I think modernisation will steal most of the charm.
 
They need to make it EXACTLY the same as the original, but just look prettier imo.

Then it has a chance of being something good.
 
If the only thing they did was give it Advent Children style graphics then that would be fantastic.

Voice-overs may be a little too odd....

There are some great bits in Blue Dragon I'd like to see added, but to be honest I'd rather they just left it alone and rereleased it with updated graphics.
 
I know people will not agree with this but I hope they give it a better battle system, ive tried playing the game before and the turn based battle system just send's me to sleep. :(
 
Hopefully they announce it tonight just so people shut up about it :D

It's going to happen, why wouldn't they do it?

Sony should and are probably pushing them to do so, it's such a big system seller. Whether it will happen soon or not who knows.
 
update the gfx and cutscenes, keep all else the same except maybe, some extra minigames and optional superbosses, they'd be ok nothing that would alter the story though. No voice acting though. please god.
 
i would buy one straight away, wouldnt consider not buying one!

as some one said if it was like Advent Children that would be TRULY amazing!

And while we're at it, let's remake Resident Evil as an RTS:p

Kinda defeats the point in a remake if you make it a different type of game.

In some ways, I hope this doesn't happen. As awesome as it would be, I'm not sure it would be worth putting up with the inevitable whining from overly vocal masses. There's no way to avoid people moaning about how they don't like the voices or how they made Cloud look like a girl or how fire materia gives a +5 bonus to MP rather than the +3 in the original or some such nonsense. The problem is you can't please everyone, and the ones that aren't pleased will never shut up about it. They will complain about how "it completely destroys the game" when they have 5 sealed copies of the original still sitting on their shelf. If you don't like the changes, don't ****ing buy it!

I don't want a remake, I just want a port onto a handheld...OoT and FF7 to play on the train/bus/at a mates, with an instant/reasonable save function... lovely! A man can dream can he not?
