Good result, bad performance. VdS kept us in it.

Once the game started to open up second half we played better though. Ronaldo had a good second half, and the move for the goal was brilliant. Nice 15 minutes for Anderson as well, looked suited to that position rather than where he played against Sunderland.
 
Van der Sar had his best game in a Utd shirt for me tonight, two quality saves and looked totally assured whenever the ball came his way. Credit to Ronaldo too for the way he got into position for his goal.

Major result for the Gers 0-1 down to Stuttgart to win 2-1. Just knock Lyon over and that's us and Barca through.................... if only :)
 
Good fight back from the gers and good results all round for the British teams tonight. Much better than yesterday :D
 
pretty pleased, not a great performance by any means but it's good to be getting the points even when you're not playing well. vds looked very assured.

Lol somebody told me about that this morning -

Chelsea's first Champion's League game of the season = 24,xxx

Arsenal's youth match = 35,xxx

They're not playing so well, and it has got quite cold at this time of the year, so the prawn sandwich munchers have stayed at home.
