So is this the best 24" around?

Am I going to be dissapointed or over the moon with it.

Ok for Bioshock and STALKER etc..

Your views if you have one please.

Tis a beast... Im very happy with my purchase, colours are good, no ghosting, brilliant size. It has different colour setup modes i.e. gaming, multimedia, desktop. I find desktop is great for everything. Bioshock looks brilliant on it, as does Stalker.

The input/outputs are awesome, very handy for if you have a digital camera as it has the memory card reader, usb hub, component, composite, svideo etc.

Overall I love mine :)

Got the video card to run native res on such a screen, by which I mean a GTX?

Having said that you can always drop the res down.

Why not just highres + low textures etc.?

If my card won't push out a game properly, I drop the looks before I touch the res, don't like running on anything other than native res (mine is only 1280*1024 mind).

226bw is so much better for fps shooters tbh but 2407wfp has such a wow factor, like any of the 24"+ screens i guess. You'll no doubt love it

I found the 226bw to be horrific compared to my crt with bioshock.Remember the old days with pop up 3d draw on racing games on consoles ? that's what bioshock on the 226bw reminded me of , it was like you could see blacks being drawn before your eyes.

yes but nio doubt you had a really poor panel, much worse than most seem to get.

I've just got my 2407, it takes some getting used to, its huge! I do notice some ghosting in CSS, but i'm getting used to it the more i play.

I sold my 22" Samsung for this and its in a different league. No ghosting, cant see any difference in gaming lag and the image quality leaves the Samsung TN for dust. The built quality is superb, cant fault it. Just make sure you have a 8800 if you want decent frame rates.

Had my 2407 a04 for about 2 weeks now and its awesome. Stunning visually no ghosting probably the best 24 inch tft for the price on the market. I thought i would find it hard to move form my old 22 inch crt but this is so much more immersive because of its widescreen aspect. My old x1900xtx was struggling at 1920x1200 and i saw a good offer on a 8800 ultra and havn't looked back :D

I had a 2407 A03 which i sold when i thought i was going to downgrade, then bought the Samsung 245b, which in my opinion gives a muc better image, the dell has more and better connections and the added bonus of card reader and usb hub, both are great monitors and you defo wont be dissapointed with the dell

I bought one of these from OcUK the other day and it really is very, very good for everything I've thrown at it - general office work, DVDs and the occasional game. Thoroughly recommended and very good value for money.

none yet, will be a while i think :( documenting the issue here as well. Unless you really need the enhanced Colour gamut, it might be worth looking at the standard 2407WFP tbh
