For some time now I’ve been thinking of starting doing the lottery as i’ve not even tried playing it as I think it’s a waste of money. As well its pure luck, what are the odds of winning now?

Anyone do the lottery online?

Basically is it worth it?

A tax on fools.

I usually put £5 on a week. It's petty cash, it doesn't even buy two pints. It's not just about the big one, although you do have to be in it to win it. I tend to win more on euro millions. It seems relatively easy to win the bottom prize (£6.50)

As people have said if you have some spare cash, then why not.

for the people that play it , do you have numbers that you stick with ? or just lucky dip all the time?

A tax on fools is how my old economics lecturer described it at university :p

It's no diffrent to any other form of betting. It's just an easy bet, which you don't have to think about, the odds reflect that.

The amount I spend on it, I couldn't buy anything nice.
