Rover 412.

Maroon.

Scuff on boot.

Male driver- approx 30 years of age.

Smelled like death.

Just spent £2 on petrol at Shell garage, West View, Fleetwood :D
I didn't see what type it was but regular Unleaded is 91.9p per litre so that would be 2.17 litres?

I thought I was being a cheapo buying £5 to tide me over til next Friday!!! :)

So, what's the smallest amount (financially or in volume) you've ever put in your car/bike/moped/conveyance?*

* apologies, but mowers don't count
 
a spendthrift is the opposite of what you just described.

i once put 87p of fourstar in my 2cv. that was a few years ago and was mainly because i hadn't gotten used to the fillerneck so it frothed up a bit and shut the pump off, thus making me think it was full.

All the places I've been to have a minimum of £2 or £5, I can't remember the right figure. Also common sense states that you should put more than £2 in...it'll surely all burn off by the time you leave? :p

Hehe that is true, however some people are beyond belief.Quite a few car drivers will put only a few pounds in at a time. We dont have a minimum spend limit, which makes it entertaining.The lowest i ever put in is £10 generally
 
Not to sound cocky but I fill the tank, every time, to the brim and only revisit the fuel station when that runs dry again. I see no point doing it any other way.

I would, but if I only have a £10 note on me, I'm a bit stuffed if I need fuel and fill up with like £50's worth :p

I usually put in £10 occasionally to get me to a filling station that takes fuel cards (if i find myself in this situation which is rare).

I hate fillling up, its just a pain in the ass.

I love filling up at commercial fuel depots though, no queues, no going in to pay.

Just put your card in the machine, fill up in seconds (the commercial pumps pump fuel at an alarming rate!) and leave.
 
I've done around the 80p mark on a 50cc. Went to work but left wallet at home, was all the change I had in the pocket. I was already on reserve tank :D. Was enough to get home.

What fuel card do you have? I've never, ever been to a fuel station that doesn't take mine (Arval Allstar).
 
If I am in toy car usually only 10-20 at a time as I might not use it again for ages and worry about stale fuel, in my Audi I use everyday I fill it up, in the work BMW I put enough in to cover my use, maybe a bit more as I may not use it again for ages and ain't paying for my brothers errands! I topped a loan car up with a gallon of unleaded I had emptied from a car I broke a while back. lol.
 
About £2.50 once, at a shell in Glossop. Most of which went all down my leg, couldn't get the pump to work properly, so went elsewhere.

There are a couple of murco's near me which dont take allstar, much to my annoyance after shoving £55 of diesel in the car :/
 
A Rover 412 eh? How sad am I, being the first to pick up on that :(

Smallest amount I've ever put in is about £2. Don't know why... it just felt right at the time.
 
Lowest amount was £3 in the Roomster I got as a loan car from Skoda :p

Lowest in my own car was a tenner when it was up for sale and generally the lowest is £20 if I want to top up before a long trip.
