anyone heard of IP-35 Pros suffering from sudden death as mine has turned up it's toes after only a months use ( bought on the 18th last month ).

it's been fine since day one, caused me no problems what so ever, i haven't even bothered flashing the bios it's been that smooth, then out of the blue, Saturday morning, it wouldn't boot from being off overnight.

if i try to boot up it gives me an 8.4. error plus 3 beeps, one slow & 2 fast ( beeeep, beep beep ), the fans spin up briefly, maybe 3 secs tops then it shuts off.

so far ive tried the following:

mobo battery out over night.
clear cmos for 1 hour.
built up outside case.
2 different psu's ( Corsair 520 & 620W )
2 different cpu's ( 2160 & 6550 )
4 different sets of DDR2 ram including vanilla 1.8v Crucial
3 different hdd's
2 different gfx cards. ( 8800gts & X800XL )
tried both gfx slots.
no drives what so ever.

ive drawn a total blank as to what to try next, other than to accept defeat & RMA

The beep code suggests a graphics problem, but having tested two cards it would suggest the board itself is faulty.

Have you tried both graphics card slots?

hi matey, yes i have, i forgot to put that in my original post. it's been running a modest overclock since day one ( 460fsb on the 6550 ) just unlucky i guess. ah well RMA time i reckon.
