My HIS 1950 pro died

I bought an HIS x1950 pro back in February from Overclockers and it had the rattly fan issue from about a month in, it was bearable as long as I manually upped the fan speed.

Today the fan died completely and I was wondering if Im better off buying a GPU cooler or RMA'ing the card to HIS as I understand I can only RMA to OCUK up until 28 days.

Can anyone clue me in on how I would RMA the card to HIS and would I need proof of purchase?

Cheers

Contact OcUK via a webnote and they'll look up your original order and send you a reciept, then you can RMA the card. Usually RMA takes around a week :)

It comes with the big blue rattly fan. Im thinking of getting the fan rather than RMA'ing it as it'll cost me about 12 quid to send the thing.

what sort of fan does the stock card come with? was it a iceq3 card with the big arctic cooling job on it? or was it the skinny one like my one here:

if its the one like mine no point bothing with the hassle of the rma, just get yourself an accelero S1 heatsink and slap that on.

Why would it cost 12 quid to send, if you want a cheap courier email me for details

I would rma just because its obviously poor build quality and you dont want anything else going wrong when rma is not an option

You will only need to pay postage back to OcUK, they'll do the rest!

Good news :) I'm just waiting on a reply to my webnote.

Perhaps not 12 quid, I've been spending too much time on Ebay and have been damaged by the rampant postage overcharging :D thanks for the courier offer, I'll drop you PM, cheers.
