rev 2 of the Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3R should be out end of september.
currently awaiting this rev myself

rev 2 looses the parallel port and the serial port in Favour of
8 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports on the back panel

..ah thanks for pointing that out, I wondered why i didn't seem to be in stock as yet.

The one I just recieved (and had to RMA as was faulty) was a 1.1, but obviously can't check that.

I would really recommend against getting a DS3R at the moment, have seen a few other people on the forums with dead boards - think they have a faulty batch.
