Need a new Scanner....

I am looking for a new scanner, max price about £50 tops. (cheap and cheerfull is fine)

I needs to have Vista drivers with it.. I have looked in the usuall places, but none of them have actuall Vista drivers and some of them just dont even work in Vista..

Any help would be appreciated.

Needs to be in general hardware,

But as it's here. I'm also looking for a scanner, but specifically to do photo's. Not to expensive either. If it can do other things as well that would be great. But Photos are the main things.

quassimodem - look at canon lide 25, should do what you want fairly cheap and there is vista 32/64 bit support - may need to download the drivers though.

acidhell - negs or prints.
Personally I like canon but epson do seem to have slightly better neg options.

in my opinion negs but I've got a cheapy neg scanner which is higher res than my flatbed, plus you're limited by the resolution of the paper the image is printed on for a print (yes they have a res, its the size of the crystals used although quite small now)

I scanned over 1000 photos/35mm negitives recently, both lots were in decent condition, and both came out quite well.....I was using an Epson Perfection 3170 Photo scanner..
