Not tried MPC: Cinema yet, reckon it's worth it? I have WinDVD installed and the only diff over MPC I can see if native DVD decoding without the need for a system decoder for AC3 and DVD/HDDVD/BD videos?

"HC" has support for EVR.

Just been toying around with it and indeed been using EVR to watch a few videos, seems very good and I've also not noticed any clicks or pops that I sometime used to get on my XFI !

I might even uninstall WinDVD if this proves good!

agree that its better than vlc, never did like vlc as it didn't seem to get on well with my system. mpc was fine and always played the files that wouldn't work in wmp or qt.
