Opionions on Clio Dynamique

hello alll

i want to know your opions please on this car, its my first one and i,m thinking of going with it but before i do some opions would be great.

Spec

2003 RENAULT CLIO 1.2 16V Dynamique 3dr Hatchback

Price: £3,760

Features:
• 34,000 miles
• Manual
• SILVER
• Petrol
• 3 Door Hatchback
• 53 reg (2003)
- climate control

- hpi clear

- 4 owners well 3 because the girl had it in her mums name first than she transfered it.

Full Description:


Manual, 31,000 miles, Silver. 3x3 point rear seat belts, ABS, Climate control with Air conditioning, Alloy wheels, Audio remote control, Body coloured bumpers & sunroof. trip computer.

Some Issues

- door interior bit is needs tightening not like the right door that is solid. not sure what to do for that.

- where the little light is and the control for the sun roof there is little buzzing noise coming out of it, you dont hear it as much when you on the move but when you staionary you can hear it is like wasp buzzing near my ears. hope is nothing serious.













what do you think everyone?

Does it have climate control? The buzzing will be the interior temp sensor fan very common thing a new one from renault is about 7 quid or so. Door trim wise i'm not quite sure what you mean.

I had one for my first car liked it enough to buy two more of the things! I went 1.2->1.6->2.0 :D.
 
Hey Bmh! :)

Just wondering if you could give me some advice. When you owned your Black 2003 1.6 Clio I notice your outer trim (Rear, Bumper and Door) was metal instead of plastic, would you reckon it is possible to change the plastic trims from an older model to the newer ones? I guess youd have to get them from scrap unless renault sell them if it was possible?

Yep you can all the bumpstrips come off so you can get them painted at a bodyshop or whatever you wish to do. Pic for good measure :).

Thanks Bmh. So, are yours are plastic and painted or metal? (I edited my post above). Also, is that grille from another clio? ;) Do you have MSN or something, would be great to bug you with lots of questions!

yep it does have climate control

so it can be fixed easily that buzzing, and for the door sorry i need to explain my self better on your left door you see basicaly all the plastic interior for it which goes all the way through to the window, its a bit loose and is not as tight and as sturdy as the right door which is sturdy and tight and does not squeak when you put pressure on it.
 
i expect the insurance companies will see "16v" and **** themselves. At 17 man, not the smartest move, but then again if you're older go for it, not a bad piece of metal by the sounds of it. Even for a clio.
 
We have a 1.2 8v clio grande, its been excellent, off to look at clios this weekend, as she wants 1.4 or 1.6 16v with air con. trying to look at 172s though ;)

what do you mean by facelift?

i noticed on the gear knob cap where the gears numbers is slightly scratched because of the girl's rings, is there anyway i can get one of those.

renault quoted me for £27.00 bit much for a little cap

The wheel design changed as did the clock dials, few other odds and sods, i would say its quite rare to find a 1.2 Dynamique with Climate control!
 
By Facelift he means the Exterior / Interior has basically been upgraded. Although I am unsure if he means its a 2001+ Facelift or the 2003+ facelift (New Grille and not sure what else, anyone?)

Edit: The wheel design? as in the steering wheel?

Sorry nah alloys got the raised ridge in the center of each spoke it was wider before :)

it is quite rare actully i havent seen many with that tbh, the dials are digital but not all.
