Opening explorer in windows vista - Can I stop it going straight to start menu?

When I open explorer in vista it defaults to opening C:\Users.....\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start menu which opens up a whole tree of folders which I have to close afain to get back to C:

Is there anyway of getting explorer to just start with my computer or C: ?

well there you go, you choose to explore from the start button, where do you expect explorer to open? same as if you right click my computer and select explore. or right click network and select explore. and so on.... :)

just create your own shortcut and pin it to the start menu.
