Should I?

Rode one the weekend before last and now I'm in love.
Some of the equity from my house sale is being set aside as I type this.

Going to go for the Factory version with the Ohlins suspension + steering damper + carbon bits and pieces. Shall be fitting a set of Akras to let that twin howl.

My head says go for the non-factory version but I know what I'm like. I will lust after every factory I see and wish I'd dropped the extra wedge.

Insurance isn't too bad either. Just under £500/year comp.

Factory's are a lovelly bike DO IT :D just set some money aside when servicing :p i hear aprillia is quite expensive when it comes to services, was between a standard RSV1000 and the gixxer 750, decided to go with the 750 purely because i wanted to try out a Inline 4 for a while :p

They sound like the mutt's knackers, shaved bald for extra tongue stimulation. I say buy it. And take me out for a spin if you come round ;)

Get one, a mate had just a normal 05 mille and it went like stink.

You can always buy my bike off me, it would be cheaper to insure and faster as well!! :D

Get the Tuono !!

Same engine same frame same everything...just naked and fun !!

But if you must have the RSV get the factory ... Hmmm Carbon ..Hmmm Ohlins!!

Rilot, is it a brand spanking new 'un your thinking about going for or previously owned?.

Depending on the year of manufacture, some had certain "issues" and Aprilia sent out recall notices for a couple of things. Swinging arm cracks for example.

Mate has an Akra SBK system on his and it sounds just incredible. When we are on run outs and you are behind him, they pop and bang on the over-run and I kid you not......spit flames out the back of the cans.....LOL.

Mind you, since he chucked a PCIII on it its not done it quite as much.

Id say go for it mate! You only live once! I love the look of them, the sound, everything other than that they are a v-twin and im not a fan of the way they ride compared to an IL-4.

Probably a 2007 model that will have been bought at the beginning of summer by some old duffer and concequently sold due to scaring the willies out of him.

LMAO!!!!! :D

Ah well, you will be sorted then, was only the earlier facelift RSV's that had a few recalls and probs.

Get yourself over to the Bikers Oracle RSV forums anyway m8 and have a look around.

I post there as RSV_Ecosse. ;)

Great community, load of good blokes there and a belly full of laffs as well. :p

Check out the "Sound of Thunder" threads and watch out for Blue and Badger. :p
