Clive Barker's Jericho demo arriving this week

The demo is due at 11am tomorrow morning EVERYWHERE according to their forums as gamespot have it exclusive today.

Hi all,

Please take into account the following known issues that are present in the PC version of the demo:

1 - Problems with ATI drivers causing corruption when Advanced Smoothing is enabled.
This manifests itself as:
a) black checkerboard-type squares across the screen, OR
b) all of the foreground areas will vanish to leave only some of the background visible, OR
c) the screen will appear extremely bright.

This issue is caused by the Catalyst Control Center attempting to override the game's graphics settings. To solve this issue open the Catalyst Control Center and
a) Set all hardware features to "Use Application Settings" in the Catalyst Control Center
b) Disable Catalyst AI
c) Disable "Adaptive Anti-Aliasing"

2 - Initial extraction utility isn't localised.
Whilst there are no workarounds, this does not affect the actual installer, which is fully localised.

Oh my...

Runs much the same as Bioshock did on my system, 8800GTS and C2D E6600 2GB Ram.

Looks awesome, I need to play it a bit more to get used to the controls and various character abilities, the whole squad dynamic looks like it will be very cool.

It can be hard to see what's happening when a fight starts and the controls feel a bit odd t o me, maybe just need to spend more time playing it.

MEGA annoying Dragons Lair-esque directional clicky bits, I nearly quit out when I hit one and failed it a few times due to the icons not being particularly easy to pick out while you are gawping at the graphics. Why have nice pre-scripted scenes and make it so you have to practically ignore them to progress?

Yet another demo that doesn't appear to have a screenshot function, having only just re-installed this system I don't have the needed software to grab any decent amount or post them at the moment, maybe later :)

Overall it's pretty impressive :)

Wow those have to be some of the best graphics I have ever seen . Ran around 50fps everything maxed 1680x1050. My only gripe is this seems to use some sort of smoothing method for AA and it seems to absoloutly kill my GTX with whatever setting I choose it will bog it down to around 20-30fps same performance for 2x,4x and 8x :(

where are you getting it from?

all my links i've tried, about 6 of them are all sub 100k/s :(

Lighting effects are good but textures are fairly poor and as said AA kills performance even at 2X, without AA its a smooth as silk, gameplay wise its really good and atmospheric but the demo was way to short

Promising :)

Looks nice. Runs very well, like bioshock actually, but AA is a disaster!
Edit: forcing AA with the Nvidia control panel does much better :)

The view bob is mental - you wouldn't want to play this with a few drinks on you.

Theme is a bit cheesy, but hey... Clive Barker....

Im very impressed with the way sound is implemented.
