This phone is out in October and it has a 5 Megapixel camera and i will be buying it as im in to sony's. As its a camera phone, but not just any camera phone its a cybershot so this picture quality is second to none honestly. I find Cybershot phones have a lot more options on how to fix a picture if it's a little to dark or light or whatever.

I have a k800i and my GF has a U600 this is for people asking about quality of picture at night, in clubs, in daylight whatever we both took a picture in a club well ill say a party and mine blew hers out the water lol and they have the same camera 3.2 MP.

if you fancy a look at it go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/k850i

Right, odd post. The K800 takes better low light shots because it has a xenon flash.

The K850 already has some stiff competition in the form of the N95, which according to one review just manages to oust the K850 in overall score. Then there's also the Samsung G600, and LG Viewty, which I suspect will provide some stiff competition. Sony Ericsson are very late to the 5mp game.

Pearost!

The k850 has a xenon flash too. Also, more mega pixels doesn't equal a better camera... Nokia's are just web cams to be honest*, whereas SE's have "proper" camera lenses.

The k850 isn't Symbian is it? So there won't be a massive library of software for it..?

The k850i, in my opinion, looks nicer than the N95. I'm placing my money on its photos being better too. Thing I find with 'web cam' cameras in phones is the definition between pixels is almost non-existent, and the colours are quite often rubbish!

I hope the k850i is priced well as I'm only going to be on £25/month. Hopefully o2 will give me a good deal for staying with them :)

1. You wont get k850i for £25 per month on any network when it comes out.

2. n95 has a "proper" camera lense, it has a carl zeiss lense to be precise, which takes excellent pictures. As good as decent digital camera's with similar megapixels.

1. I won't get it free for £25 per month, but I'm sure o2 will do something for me as I have been with them for years.

2. I stand corrected ;) Is it the first Nokia to have a proper lense? Still though, when I was looking at comparisons on the intarweb, the k850i's photos did look better most of the time. N95 seems to try and do all the post-processing for you!?

length of contract means absolutely nothing. its how much you spend that counts.

Last time they gave me an N70 for £60 @ £25/month, and that was when they first came out and they were like £400 handset only. So I'm hoping they'll do something similar.

It's all under Dad's name though (I got the contract when I was 16/17, before I could legally have my own contract) so he's the one who's done the bargaining :p

I'll be tempted by the K850i when it appears. I currently have the K800i and the screen is too small to use on the internet properly. The Sony website says the K850 has a 2 inch screen, so can anyone tell me how big the screen is on the N95 please?

The original N95 has 2.6" screen. The new 8gb model coming out upgrades this to 2.8"
