I've just bought a modified upper inlet manifold and ST200 throttle body for my ST24, and the UIM has been painted black at some point in time, and is now looking a little worse for wear, with quite a bit having already flaked off.

Ideally looking to return it to its original silver finish, but could live with a nice shiny black like the finish on the ST200 manifold.

Most important thing for me is ease of application, as I'm terrible at any kind of painting, whether it be with a brush or a spray can! :p

Tetrosyl engine laquer seemed to work quite well on my engine, it comes in loads of colours and gave me a good finnish. To be honest on an inlet manifold any decent spray paint will work well, i used some black on my inlet manfold and it has stayed on well. The inlet manifold will get to a max of around 70 degrees anyhow, most paint is ok at this temperature.

Thanks for that too, it also comes in brush on rather than spray on format, probably much better for me, I'll make much less mess!
