After much searching and quite a few "spec me/your opinions" threads we've finally bought our next motor, well paid the deposit anyway:-

Thanks to all who posted on my previous opinions, suggestions thread. We've now found a motor which the wife and I are quite happy with it - Its also quite nippy to drive which surprised me tbh - I'll post further pics over the weekend :D
 
Much, MUCH better than the corsa you were looking at, we have two 1.4 Zetec's in the family at the moment, one pre-facelift, one post-facelift, how much did you end up paying for it if I might ask?

It was initially advertised at £5495 - am paying £4995 with a new service, six months tax, three months warranty and a tank of petrol :D
 
so even a fair bit less than the corsa? god... you really dodged a bullet by not getting that corsa. i had one as a courtesy or hire car (cant remember), i hated it so much, it was so inept at everything. hire cars are there solely to thrash and it even did that so badly, i just hated every fibre of its existance.
