Game seems great but going by the demo it seems you have one path to take and that's it. If the game is relatively short like most new games are as well I don't think i'd get many playing hours out of it as there wouldn't be a lot of point playing it again.

Looks scary, I filled my pants a few times in Doom3 + ROE add on and FEAR + EP add on.

Yeah, I did. I uninstalled the demo to see if it went with it, but it didn't.
That's odd, it did on mine, it did however throw an error at me during bootup immediately after.

Demo is ridiculously short for a gb game
My only other complaint is that it feels like a console port so the controls are crappy on a pc (personal preference i know) as they are very console-esque (e.g. button for zoom rather than scroll wheel etc)
The graphics, atmosphere and sound are amazing though

Whats this software updates thing then?. Installed demo , but haven't noticed any software updates program , does it hide from you or only get installed if you do normal install? ( I did custom).
As for game , seems pretty good. would have liked a longer demo though and runs well enough on my ageing system. How ever the controls annoyed me , more specifically mouse sensitivity. No adjustment on it , just a option for high , medium and low and even on low the sensitivity is far too high.

Cant play it, regardless of any RES or setting, as soon as game loads it pauses, thats in Menu's or watching the Video and actually playing it.
HDD was defragged other day so only this small demo is new addition, something not right.

Quick question before I install, does the demo support DX10?
Just so I know whether to install on XP or Vista
Tom mate, I installed under Vista and it looks like a DX10 game. Some of the effects look DX10.
Was installed as a control panel applet and in the All Programs menu list in the top section on my XP system, no uninstall options that I could find, it wasn't listed in add/remove programs and nowhere did it ask if I wanted it installed while I installed the demo. It appears to be an autoupdater for the demo.

Reminded me of Quake 1 (1996) just no where near as good.
