Which TV is better? The Hannspree is Cheaper but ive never heard of the Hannspree brand. Should this put me off? I need some knowledge of of you guys about these TV's.

The Hanspree is at the top end of the 'budget unbranded' range of TV's at the moment and offer superb value for money. That said, the Samsung is a better TV and worth spending the extra money on in my opinion.

Black levels, shadow detail, picture processing, input compatability etc will all be better on the Samsung and other branded TV's.

That said, plenty of people have bought the Hanspree and are happy with it.

i recently bought a hanspree JT 37 and i am massively chuffed with it (and i'm pretty hard to please tbh)

I recently purchased the AOC from overclockers 32" as they never had the hanspree in stock and its excellent, picture is amazing. I have it linked to the computer, playing games & watching divx movies and stuff is great! :D

Thanks for the replys. so im guessing its better off going for the Samsung yes? I love the look of it and by the time i come to buy one, they should be down in price a bit.

I've had the Hannspree 32" for about 5 months now and it aint let me down yet. Picture quality is good with sky or even a hdmi freeview box but it comes in2 it's own when u hook up a ps3 via hdmi, great Tv for the cash but the Samsung will probably have better picture processing.

i'm very tempted to get a 37" hannspree, does the screen refresh well when using a pc(vga) port for watching videos, say from an MCE box?

cool, my mate has a large lcd (not sure what make it is) but it cost him about £1500 and you can (well i can) notice a slight flicker in that mode, maybe it's the refresh rate not setup properly..

will get one for sure now :)
