Edge reviews Halo 3.

I know, I was just saying how I felt about it :)

Any arguement I put forth... <snip>

I agree with your points.

Something rarely mentioned though is the integration with bungie.net. You mentioned the stat tracking etc, which is carried over from Halo 2. But there is plenty more, like browsing screenshots, films, games etc, then having Halo 3 automatically download your selections the next time you log in to the game. Now that's clever stuff, and I don't know where that's been done before.

I agree, it's genius. It's now definitely the best integration going. I love clicking on a friend in my friends list and seeing new options in the menu to see their file shares and awards etc..

Kalanium, you have to realize there are some people out there who just don't like Halo even though they have never touched such a thing. I think Nintendo summed it up best in their Super Paper Mario game;

I know thats why I havent bothered posting about it until now :p Nokkon asked a question and I answered (even though I got my wires crossed ;))

As stated earlier it's all very well but if forge, films etc don't interest you (like me) then what's left? Just another shooter really. Co-op saves the game for me personally, just the social thing of going through the game together is fun.

Different tastes isnt it? These additions help me immensely to improve my games and recall moments in multi-player matches (also in campaign)

Thats fine if you (and others) dont like it, Im not saying any of you have to, I just really get sick of reading about the constant moaning about how it didn't live up to what you all expected in EVERY damn thread about it, you all shouldnt have bought into the hype. I'm not trying to convince anybody to like it or to change their mind, I just wish they would get over it and move on to something else and let the people who like it enjoy it. Nobody is going to convince anyone of anything so whats the point in debating about it?

It has lived up to my expectations and has surpassed them and will be the game that keeps me entertained on Xbox Live for the next 2+ years, much like Halo 2 did. But the simple fact is that you will not find a better multi-player experience on Xbox 360, yes people might prefer a different game, but I have yet to see in any game on Xbox 360 such a well put together multi-player system. Hell even Halo 2 beats Gears of War where you have to end your lobby to edit a setting.

Give me a break I've only had the game for 2 days :p Havent had a chance to fully explore every inch of the game yet, good points you bring up though :)

I must admit, I'm blown away by the multiplayer. Everywhere you look there are new things to look at. Very good, and very promising for just what can be added into future Xbox live titles.

I'm pretty much blown away by all aspects. Single player is more challenging than anything i've played in recent years (it's nice to have something that actually requires some practise), co-op is excellent, multiplayer is superb and the threatre and forge modes are two of the best inclusions in a video game I can think of. Every feature is polished and works well.

I couldn't give a flying **** about the haters, they're wrong.

I'm not a hater, clearly its a good game but just not for me. On the other side of the coin to your comment there are people on here that would rather hear that i'd dry humped their bird than knock 1% off a Halo review.

I'm sure if i'd played halo from the start I would have got it.

I think if the voice chat hadve been like say Graw when your in total communication with your team I wouldve stuck with it. When the convo was cutting in and out it got on my bits.

The multiplayer set up is excellent, the best i've yet seen. My niggles where small ones but not enough to keep me going when other titles I like are out.

Buying into hype has nothing to do with it. I have been a fan of the Halo series from the biginning, I just personally feel a little dissapointed that's all. Like I have said, a few things changed will make the game better for me and when they do, I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot more. I certainly don't hate it and wouldn't want to make others hate it either (although I'm sure they might) I said to my mate online last night, it doesn't feel 'solid' like Gears, it just feels a little 'tame' somehow, can't quite explain it. The quiet weapons don't help, let's have some big booms and loud 'rat a tat tats' with crazy recoil, then it may feel a bit meatier :)

I have nothing against that, you said exactly my feelings. You said it's a good game but not your thing, there is no problem there. People that annoy me are those who say it's not a good game even though it is.
